    Dear Family Business Educators:

Have you ever wondered how many family businesses are represented in
your classroom? Likewise, have you ever wondered how these next
generation family business stakeholders view their family firms and
their potential future career involvements in them?

If YES, we invite you to join us exploring these and other related
questions through an online survey sponsored by the Association of
Family Business Educators (the URL for the AFBE is listed below).

The survey, which may be reviewed online, can be found at:

    https://bristol.qualtrics.com//SE/?SID=SV_6R4ELq6Vg7pFXNy

In short, the survey asks respondents about their family's business
and also about their perceived firm-related commitments and career
plans. We estimate that the survey takes about 15 to 20 minutes to
complete. Please be advised that all responses will be received
anonymously and will be treated with complete confidentiality.

If you are interested in participating, we would ask that you please
register with Lorna Collins (Lorna.Collins@uwe.ac.uk) by providing:
    (1) your name and position,
    (2) your home institution,
    (3) the names of the course(s) from which you will be inviting your
    students and
    (4) an estimate of the total number of students enrolled in the course(s).

Professor Collins will then (1) create an institution-specific version
of the survey with your contact details on the front page of the
survey and also (2) generate an institution-specific URL, which you
may then forward to interested students at your institution. Multiple
versions of the survey can also be created so that different cohorts
    of students can be sampled.

In order to express our appreciation for your help in inviting your
students to complete the survey we will provide educators from
participating institutions with a data file of all responses received
from their school (assuming at a minimum of ten responses) one month
    after their date of registration.

One final administrative detail: We would ask that all educators
interested in participating comply with any and all of their
institution's ethics-related protocols and review procedures.

We thank you for considering our invitation. If you have any questions
or comments please feel free to email us at your convenience.
