Meet the Editors of APJM's Special Issue on Entrepreneurship and Innovation in India

    Program Session #: 120
    Friday, Aug 12 2011, 2:00PM - 4:30PM
San Antonio Convention Center in Room 007 C

This PDW has two broad goals. First, it intends to provoke discussion about an agenda for innovation about entrepreneurship research in China and India. Second, this workshop will be a forum for the editors of Asia Pacific Journal of Management's special issue on "Innovation and Entrepreneurship in India" to exchange information with attendees about their vision and objectives for the issue. Asia Pacific Journal of Management (APJM) is the official journal of the Asia Academy of Management.  [Journal citations released by Social Sciences Citation Impact (SSCI) in June 2011 reported that APJM had a Citation impact factor of 3.355 ]

In addition to the above goals, the proposed PDW has several specific objectives. The workshop will identify organizing themes for research in innovation and entrepreneurship in China and India. It also intends to bring together scholars with similar interests so that they can collaborate with each other and build on each others strengths to examine the issues that emerge out of the workshop.  In addition to a discussion and debate of the theoretical frameworks, we also intend to develop a collaborative database that can be used to study innovation and entrepreneurship in China and India.  Scholars based in China and India, with support from other scholars around the world would be leading the efforts in developing this database. This database will not only identify archival sources of data available for studies on innovation and entrepreneurship, but also develop surveys that can be administered in China and India.
