A few weeks ago I asked for articles that looked at aspects of
mentorship and role models in the entrepreneurship process that went
beyond the likelihood of forming a business. Thanks for everyone who
responded. Below are citations of the articles suggested.

Monica Godsey (2006) Gaining Entrepreneurial Perspective: The impact
of venture creation role models on high school carrer intention. PhD
Thesis: The University of Nebraska - Lincoln

Yan Gong (2007) Dancing around improvisation: Advisor network and
improvisation migration in new firms. PhD thesis: The University of
    Wisconsin - Madison

Robert Farlie and Alicia Robb (2008) Race and Entrepreneurial Success:
Black-, Asian-, and White-Owned Businesses in the United States. MIT
    Press (now in paperback!)

Bosma et al (2011) Entrepreneurs and Role Models. SSRN Working Paper:

Eren Ozgen and Robert Baron (2007) Social Sources of Information in
Opportunity Recognition: Effects of mentors, industry networks and
professional forums. Journal of Business Venturing 22 p 174-192

Deniz Ucbasaran Paul West Head and Mike Wright (2009) The extent and
nature of opportunity idenification by experienced entrepreneurs.

Siri Terjesen and Sherry Sillivan have a forthcoming article entitled
"The Role of Developmental Relationships in the Transition to
Entrepreneurship: A Qualitative Study and Agenda for Future Research"
    in Carrer Development International.

Thanks again for your help and advice,
