Professor Clayton M. Christensen from Harvard Business School has been chosen
as the 2011 recipient of the TIM Division Distinguished Scholar Award. This
award recognizes Prof. Christensen's many contributions to the research and
practice in the field of technology and innovation management.
Clayton M. Christensen is the Robert and Jane Cizik Professor of Business
Administration at the Harvard Business School and an author of several highly
influential books in the area of technology and innovation management,
including his seminal work "The Innovator's Dilemma." His work on disruptive
innovation and its impact on established firms has greatly influenced scholars,
students, and practitioners. He will be recognized for this award at the TIM
Distinguished Scholar Session at the Academy of Management Meetings on Saturday
August 13, 12:00PM - 1:30PM. The session which features Prof. Christensen's
keynote address will be held in the San Antonio Convention Center Room 205.
