Dear Mathias
ATLAS.ti (www.atlasti.com) is very common for qualitative research. We use it here in Bern and I know several other institutions in German-speaking Europe that use it as well. Atlas is quite OK regarding its functions. But ATLAS is just a tool. Do not overestimate it. Most of the work is thinking. I am not familiar with Nvivo. But all in all the software should fit your workflow. Therefore I recommend to use both as trial versions or at other universities to see which of them fits your needs.
Best regards form Bern
Kim

Betreff: [ENTREP] Qualitative research: software
Dear all,
At Vlerick Management School we are currently performing qualitative longitudinal case study research regarding business models. I was wondering if anybody in this audience has experience with software to organize and analyze qualitative data of different kinds. I have been looking at Atlas and QRS Nvivo amongst others. If this sounds familiar one way or another:
. What software do you know?
. What was your experience with this software?
Thank you for reading.
BR,
Mathias Cobben
