    Dear Friends and Colleagues,

    Please join the exciting events planned by the Practice Theme Committee and the Strategic Doing Initiative of AOM at large.

    Practice Theme Committee Lunch Meeting (306) Saturday, 1:30pm-3:00pm at Grand Hyatt: Seguin A & B. (PTC members and organizers/participants of recent PTC-sponsored symposia and PDWs are welcome to attend and contribute new ideas.)

    Practice Theme Committee Welcoming Reception, Awards, and the 3 Videos from the Teaching Resource Library project (356) Saturday, 5:00pm-7:00pm at Grand Hyatt: Presidio B. Champagne will be served.

    PTC will announce the winners of two prestigious awards: (1) The AOM Practice Impact Award, and (2) the AOM Practitioner Award. The selection committee includes: Denise M. Rousseau, Carnegie Mellon U., USA; Jane E. Dutton, U. of Michigan, USA; Patrick W. Thomas, Bayer Material Science, Leverkusen, Germany; Stewart R. Clegg, U. of Technology, Sydney, Australia; Tyrone S. Pitsis, U. of Newcastle Upon-Tyne, UK. Come cheer the judges and the winners!

    NEW THIS YEAR: As part of its Strategic Doing Initiative, the Academy is excited to announce the development of an International Online Teaching Resource Library. The TRL project demonstrates how management scholarship can impact managerial practices through videos.

    This resource library will be available to all Academy members.

     

    As part of the inaugural year, the review committee selected three video as finalists that will be shown during Practice Theme Committee Welcoming Reception and Awards Ceremony:

                                                                                                             

    ·         De-Dica (Hints) Insper. Submitted by Marcos Hashimoto and his team at Insper Instituto De Ensino E Pesquisa, Brazil

    ·         Creating online content for technology entrepreneurs. Submitted by Andrew Maxwell and his team at University of Waterloo, Canada

    ·         Central Vermont Public Service Cow Power Video Case Study. Submitted by Jacob Park and his team at Green Mountain College, U.S.A.

     

    Be the first to find out how you can access this International Online Teaching Resource Library at the PTC reception! The winning video will be announced afterward.
