Assistant/ Associate Professor in Innovation Management
The Robert G. Merrick School of Business of the University of Baltimore
invites applications for an assistant/associate professor position to
teach innovation management and related courses beginning Fall 2011.
Preference will be given to those who have related experience in
entrepreneurship and/or technology commercialization. This position may
be for a visiting or tenure-track position depending on qualifications.
The Merrick School of Business is accredited by AACSB International,
enrolls approximately 2,200 students, and has programs at both the
undergraduate and graduate levels. The University of Baltimore is part of
the University System of Maryland and has four academic units: The Law
School, The Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences, the College of
Public Administration, and the Merrick School of Business. The University
is located in the cultural center of Baltimore within walking distance of
the harbor, restaurants, theaters and symphony hall.
Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with a doctoral degree from an
AACSB International accredited university and demonstrated teaching
ability. Doctorally qualified applicants are expected to display a strong
research record; recent Ph.D.s and ABDs must demonstrate potential for
research productivity. Candidates with graduate degrees in business,
science or engineering and who have significant experience in
entrepreneurship or technology commercialization are also encouraged to
apply. Applicants must have excellent communication skills and relevant
teaching experience. Full-time Merrick School of Business faculty members
teach at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
Salary:
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
