The Power of Positivity: Research and Practice that Makes a Sustainable Difference

Deadline for Submissions: EXTENDED JUNE 3rd, 2011

Please plan to attend the Midwest Academy of Management’s 54th conference in Omaha, Nebraska. We encourage you to submit a paper that fits this theme or is outside of this theme, but fits within one of the divisions. We welcome your research papers, symposia proposals, case studies, and university showcase sessions to this 2011 event. Additionally, there will be a doctoral consortium on October 20th prior to the formal conference activities.

    Conference Theme
The Power of Positivity: Research and Practice That Makes a Sustainable Difference. So much attention has been paid to the negative side of businesses and organizations over the past several years; however, a renewed interest in a more human, caring, and compassionate emphasis has emerged in the field. This conference is particularly interested in papers that fit this theme and may be highlighted in “Showcase Sessions” during the conference. We also invite strong conceptual and empirical works that are outside of the conference theme (see tracks).
