Social Entrepreneurship Doctoral Seminar
June 12-17, 2011
A week-long intensive social entrepreneurship doctoral seminar will be offered by Professor Tom Lumpkin this summer at Syracuse University beginning the day after the Babson Conference ends. (The 2011 Babson College Entrepreneurial Research Conference will be hosted by Syracuse University June 8-11, 2011).
Students will apply and be admitted based on their qualifications and letters of interest. A maximum of ten students will be admitted (including 2-3 slots for junior faculty who may be interested). Students will be expected to prepare prior to the intensive seminar (by reading approximately 50 academic journal articles). During the two months after the seminar, students will be required to write an article for submission to a journal and/or academic conference. As such, the course will meet the scholarly and contact hours requirements to qualify as a 3-hour doctoral level credit course.
