To promote the participation of women in Liberal Arts and Natural Sciences the University of Groningen in the Netherlands offers a prestigious fellowship programme, named after Rosalind Franklin, whose X-ray studies of DNA were crucial to solving its structure. The fellowships of the faculty of Economics & Business are awarded to outstanding women scientists from any of the disciplines in Economics and Business, including entrepreneurship. We are looking for ambitious, creative women who aim for a successful independent career towards full professorship in a European top research university. Successful candidates will set up their own research project(s) in the area of their choice and will be expected to establish their own research program and to attract external funding, in collaboration with colleagues at our university and elsewhere. They will also be expected to participate in and contribute to the development of the teaching programme of the Faculty.

The next round of fellowships will be awarded in 2011 to outstanding female scientists and is open for applications now. There are three positions available within the faculty of Economics & Business. Please, check our website for selection criteria and other relevant information: http://www.rug.nl/feb/Vacatures/RFF/index. For more information about the fellowship, please contact prof.dr. Janka Stoker, vice-dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business and chairman of the RFF selection committee. E-mail: j.i.stoker@rug.nl<mailto:j.i.stoker@rug.nl>
