Call for Papers for a Conference on Multi- and Micro-Level Issues in Strategic Entrepreneurship Strategic entrepreneurship has become an exciting new field at the intersection of strategic management and entrepreneurship research. However, most research within the field has focused on identifying what organization-level factors cause firm-level entrepreneurial outcomes, rather than how and why these factors actually work in terms of cross-level and micro-level effects. In the second edition of the conference, we therefore aim at exploring issues related to the motivation of individuals and teams within established firms to engage in entrepreneurial behavior and how such engagement can be assessed and rewarded. This calls for particular attention to such issues as: · The influence of organization and job design on intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of managers and employees to engage in entrepreneurial behavior. · Challenges in monitoring and incentivizing individuals at various organizational levels to engage in productive entrepreneurship. · Influences of personality factors on entrepreneurial engagement and the way firms can select or trigger self-selection of entrepreneurial individuals. · How individual-level entrepreneurship leads to group-level and firm-level entrepreneurial outcomes.
