Hi all,
At the University of Amsterdam, I teach and coordinate the 20-week entrepreneurship minor, where student teams craft business plans and create actual ventures. A couple questions, especially for those that teach similar courses:
(1) For those that teach such courses that are open to non-business majors, does anybody include lectures on accounting principles during the course? Or just give students a reference book and let them guide themselves? Or pre-determine teams to include at least one business major?
(2) Does anybody know any entrepreneurship programs where the experiential course has its own website that promotes and serves as a kind of 'e-tailer' for the products/services that teams create? Such a website with a blog-like following might help to accelerate sales before the semester or year is over... something like a quirky.com.
Any thoughts welcomed, my email address is c.m.hsieh (at) uva.nl.
