The Robinson College of Business seeks applications and nominations for a
tenure track faculty position in the area of strategic
    management/entrepreneurship
. Although rank is open, we intend to
hire at the more senior level (full or associate). This position is an
exceptional opportunity due to a combination of unique and attractive
resources. There are many outstanding faculty colleagues with interests in
strategic management/entrepreneurship in the Department of Managerial
Sciences as well as other units of the College, the University, and
neighboring universities in the Atlanta area. The City of Atlanta and the
University provide an excellent setting for someone with interests in
strategic management/entrepreneurship. The successful candidate will begin
    employment in Fall, 2011.

Candidates must have an earned doctorate in a relevant field. The
individual selected for this position is expected to be an eminent scholar
with an international scholarly reputation, who will take a leadership role
in furthering the research and educational missions of the department and
college. Collegiality and a demonstrated ability to develop and work with
others to define and conduct research are important. The position includes
teaching at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels in the College’s
academic programs. Interest and capability to contribute to executive
programs is a plus. Salary, teaching loads, and other types of support are
competitive with other research universities. The position is contingent
upon final budget approval by the University.

Georgia State University is located in the heart of Atlanta. Georgia
State’s business school, accredited by the AACSB, is one of the largest in
the country, and strongly supports strategic management/entrepreneurship.

top tier journals. Excellence in teaching is highly valued. Our MBA
program for working professionals is ranked among the best by Bloomberg
Businessweek and U.S. News & World Report, and the Executive MBA is on the
Financial Times list of the world’s best EMBA programs. Georgia State has an
extensive evening program and has strong ties with the Atlanta business
community, many of whom are alumni of the College. The Robinson College has
    approximately 6,000 undergraduate, 1,500 master’s and 100 doctoral students.
