This PDW focuses on the integration of social entrepreneurship and sustainability into MBA programs including design, curriculum, and pedagogy. Social entrepreneurship holds the promise of effectively addressing, if not solving, some of society's most pressing social problems. Building on Tracey and Phillips' (2007) call to educate social entrepreneurs, we discuss the opportunity for MBA programs and educators to incorporate educational models and resources that enable them to leverage new and pre-existing knowledge and relationships with stakeholders inside and outside the business schools. The workshop addresses the issues of social entrepreneurship education from the four perspectives
1) Laying the foundation for learning social entrepreneurship;
2) Designing a framework for social entrepreneurship education;
3) Creating a curriculum of change for our classrooms;
4) Sustaining the future through innovation: Final recommendations for Educators.
Please join us on Friday AM.. bring your ideas, bring your questions, bring your experiences and.. bring your passion!
and...
Just Entrepreneur It!
