Dear Colleagues, we invite you to attend the following PDW in Montreal

PDW: Innovative Methods for Studying Decision-Making

Recent technological advances have led to the development of new
methods for studying the decision-making of managers, entrepreneurs,
and other business executives. To date, however, few of these
techniques have been used, owning not only owning to scholars' lack of
familiarity with them, but also because using these methods poses a
number of significant research challenges for which guidance is still
    wanting.

The purpose of this PDW is to offer such guidance by sharing the
experiences of scholars already using these methods. More concretely,
we discuss and illustrate the use of five of the most promising
techniques for studying managerial decision-making, namely: dynamic
audience-response (DART), analysis of video recordings, observational
interaction (OI) techniques, verbal protocol analysis, and experience
    sampling methodologies (ESM).

The PDW is meant to be hands-on, practical and participative. The
workshop will consist of group discussions lead by experts who are
already using the showcased methods. Discussions will focus on the
articulation and operation of the techniques, and will cover issues of
coding, analysis, and validation. The workshop will conclude with an
overall discussion of the research opportunities that these techniques
    imply.

We look forward to see you there
