The Department of Management at ESSEC Business School in Paris invites
applications for one tenure-track position in Entrepreneurship at the
Assistant or Associate level.
ESSEC Business School is one of the leading European Business Schools. It
has campuses in Paris and Singapore, offering mostly graduate level training
in business administration (Master in Management, MBA, Executive MBA,
Specialized Masters, PhD, company specific programs) as well as executive
education. ESSEC Business School has developed a strategic alliance with the
University of Mannheim and many academic partnerships with leading
institutions worldwide(Kellog, Chicago, Berkeley, Tuck, IIM Ahmedabad, Keio

Entrepreneurship is a well established and growing area at ESSEC.
Entrepreneurship courses are offered across a wide range of programs. In
addition to teaching, the entrepreneurship center, Essec Ventures, runs an
incubator and a seed fund to help nascent entrepreneurs launch their

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or equivalent, and demonstrate both a strong
orientation and interest for Entrepreneurship issues, as well as grounding
and credibility into a major discipline of Management scholarship (OB,
Strategy, Industrial Organization, Sociology, Economic Sociology, etc.) They
should have a strong research orientation and a good teaching ability.
International experience will be considered an advantage. Some knowledge of
French is a plus, but not necessary by any means. Courses can be taught in
English or in French.
