    Dear All,

Both Entrepreneurship Education and Business Creation programmes have received growing attention for the impact they can have on sustainable development. Yet, the achievements of these programmes are regularly debated.

The rather isolated and fragmented way of implementation and evaluation of entrepreneurship development programmes calls for a more intensive interaction between practitioners, researchers, teachers, entrepreneurs and policy makers.

Triodos Facet, SPARK and INHolland University of Applied Sciences argue that much is to be learnt from entrepreneurship development programmes in all parts of the world. Whether these are conducted in developing, transitional or developed countries; it is the entrepreneur who is challenged daily!

We invite you to contribute, learn and get connected with peers in an interactive and international setting!

29 October:   Seminars & interactive workshops.
30 October:   Experience learning through site visits & in-depth discussions.

Both days will allow for extended networking to find new linkages and opportunities in the light of entrepreneurship development.

Contribute by submitting your own workshop on issues that you believe should not be overlooked. Submit a brief outline to info@eD2009.org and we will contact you asap.

**Post PDW Social – 7:30-9:00PM - Fairmont Chicago Aria Bar**

Abstract. This PDW will provide a highly interactive forum for PhD students and established scholars from different divisions interested in the role of business in poverty alleviation and ecological sustainability to build their scholarly community, develop new networks, refine their research ideas, share guidance on career paths, and explore the trends and future directions of this field. The PDW will consist of approximately 20 senior scholars and 20 PhD students from universities worldwide, and builds on the success of the 2008 PDW, New Scholars and Poverty Alleviation. The workshop will open with participant introductions, followed by a structured speed networking exercise that will allow all participants to interact with each other and share highlights of their interests. Small-group round table discussions will follow where PhDs will be grouped with senior academics according to common research interests. Discussion questions will include: future research directions, opportunities and challenges in empirical research, theory building, and dissertation development in this area. The PDW will conclude with a panel of six to seven senior academics offering guidance on navigating current issues in the field and suggestions for important future research directions.
