This PDW will provide an introduction to content analysis and its theoretical and empirical applications to multiple areas of management research. Distinguished presenters include:

The session will begin with an introduction to the appropriate applications of the methodology, reliability and validity concerns, the requisite stages in the research process, and an example application of a computer aided content analysis tool. In a subsequent panel, experts will discuss their unique experiences with publishing research using content analysis and address audience questions. The session will conclude with roundtables led by scholars from different research domains. Roundtable leaders will offer targeted feedback to participants and outline domain specific content analysis techniques, applications, opportunities, and challenges.
Note: This PDW provides an introduction and is scheduled to precede a related, technically focused PDW on 'Using Computer Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis Software III: Making the Software Work for You Using CAQDAS' which is scheduled from 10:00AM - 11:30AM at Delta Centre-Ville in Verriere B.
