Tenured/tenure track faculty position
The Department of Management, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship at NC State University's College of Management invites applications for a tenure-track, open rank faculty position (assistant, associate, or full professor levels) beginning August, 2010. Qualifications include a Ph.D. (or near completion).
Primary responsibilities include maintaining a strong research program and teaching MBA classes in managing people in technology-rich environments. Candidates seeking advanced rank should have a distinguished research record and strong teaching abilities. Applicants with research interests and teaching experience in entrepreneurship or technology/innovation management are especially welcome as these are focus areas of the department.
The MIE department is home to several centers of excellence, including the Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization (TEC) Initiative; the Center for Innovation Management Studies (CIMS); and the BioSciences Management Initiative (http://www.mgt.ncsu.edu/).
North Carolina State University is located in Raleigh, NC, minutes from the Research Triangle Park, an area rich in technology-driven companies (http://www.visitraleigh.com/). The University is known for its science and technology research and its 1,000-acre Centennial Campus has been chosen as the nation's top University Research campus. The Department of Management, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship is an interdisciplinary department and its faculty members have active research programs in entrepreneurship, technology management, and innovation.
