Halifax, Nova Scotia, September 27 - 29, 2012
Saint Mary's University is proud to be hosting the 2012 CCSBE Conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia from September 27th - 20th. CCSBE has gained a reputation in Canada for inviting scholars and practitioners from around the world to share research and best practices, and to discuss small business and entrepreneurship. This year's conference attempts to challenge scholars and practitioners to consider their findings - under all areas of entrepreneurship - in light of how they could be applied in practice.
The Conference is exploring the theme "Bridging the Gap Between Research and Practice". This fall, we are facilitating an exchange of the practical implications of research findings. The ability to translate findings into practice relevant for entrepreneurs, policy makers, small business owners, professional advisors and support organizations is a key objective. Abstracts are invited from all areas of entrepreneurship, SMEs and innovation, and authors are requested to give special consideration to the use and implications of their expected findings in organizational practice.
Abstracts should consider the purpose, method and expected findings of the study, as well as the expected ability of the findings to influence practice. CCSBE encourages papers and cases in entrepreneurial education; finance; cognition and characteristics; innovation; technology; sustainable growth; ethnicity, gender or other cohorts; and strategy amongst others.
We will be accepting submissions for academic papers, case studies, workshops and panels in the following tracks:
- Finance - debt, banking, private equity, public equity
