We would like to invite scholars interested in management research in Africa to a PDW,  A Research Agenda on Entrepreneurship in the Informal Economy in sub-Saharan Africa that we are organizing at the 2012 Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in Boston. This Professional Development Workshop intends to develop a road map for further research on entrepreneurship in the informal economy in sub-Saharan Africa. More than seventy percent of economic exchanges in sub-Saharan Africa take place in the informal economy making it the most prevalent form of economic organizing on the continent. Yet, management and entrepreneurship research related to this sector is almost ignored. The PWD is scheduled on Friday August 3, from 8:00am to 10:30am in Room 201 of the Boston Hynes Convention Center. You are cordially invited to this PDW. No pre-registration required.
