    JUNIOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP POSITION AT THE UNIVERSITY OF UTAH:

    The David Eccles School of Business of the University of Utah (www.business.utah.edu) seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position in ENTREPRENEURSHIP. While all ranks will be considered, an assistant professor is preferred. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in strategy, entrepreneurship, or related disciplines with a focus in one or more of the following areas: entrepreneurship, innovation, and management of technology. Teaching experience in entrepreneurship and/or in entrepreneurship program administration is also preferred. A strong research record and teaching experience are required for other than entry level hires. Priority review of application and all supporting materials will begin on February 10, 2013, but position will remain open until filled. 

    The Strategy and Entrepreneurship Group includes Jay Barney, Lyda Bigelow, Stanislav Dobrev, Karin Fladmoe-Lindquist, Bill Hesterly, Bill Schulze and Robert Wuebker. The David Eccles School of Business offers degree programs at the undergraduate, masters, executive and doctoral levels, and teaching opportunities are available in each program. The David Eccles School of Business faculty is well-recognized for its research, teaching, and scholarship. It was ranked 28th in the world in research in the most recent Financial Times Executive MBA Ranking, and its graduate and undergraduate programs in entrepreneurship were recently ranked in the top-twenty by the Princeton Review. The strategy faculty also hosts the annual Utah-BYU Winter Strategy Conference, which draws top scholars from around the world to Salt Lake City. 


    The University of Utah is located in Salt Lake City, at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains. Salt Lake City is the state capitol and home to many businesses and nonprofit organizations. The metropolitan area has a population of approximately one million residents and is a major urban center in the intermountain west. Salt Lake City has extensive arts and cultural activities and a major "hub" airport close to downtown. It is at the foot of the Rocky Mountains and offers excellent opportunities for outdoor recreation, including easy access to eight national parks. Eight major ski areas are located with one hour's drive of the University.
