The Robinson College of Business seeks applications and nominations for a non-tenure track faculty position in the area of entrepreneurship. This position is an exceptional opportunity in entrepreneurship due to a combination of unique and attractive resources that include the following. The successful candidate will, along with the Executive Director, provide leadership in the internationally-renowned H. J. Russell Sr. International Center for Entrepreneurship and will also play a role in the Robinson College Society of Entrepreneurs, an existing group of successful entrepreneurs from the Atlanta area who pay membership fees to participate in an educational roundtable.
There are many outstanding faculty colleagues with interests in entrepreneurship and strategy in the Department of Managerial Sciences as well as in other units of the College, the University, and neighboring universities in the Atlanta area. The city of Atlanta and the university provide an excellent setting for someone with interests in entrepreneurship. The successful candidate will begin employment in Fall 2007.
This Lecturer (or, with outstanding qualifications, Clinical Assistant Professor) will also serve as the Administrative and Community Outreach Director in the H.J. Russell Sr. International Center for Entrepreneurship, working closely with the Executive Director of the Center in advancing the mission of the center. This position includes teaching at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels in the Colleges academic programs. Candidates must have a masters or doctoral degree in a relevant field and must have demonstrated strong capability in teaching. Those appointed at the Clinical level must have a doctoral degree and significant practical experience.
With an enrollment of approximately 7,000 students, Georgia States business school is one of the largest in the country, and strongly supports entrepreneurship as a discipline. The Robinson College is fully accredited by the AACSB. Excellence in teaching and ability to publish in refereed journals are highly valued. In each of the last eleven years, our MBA program for working professionals has been ranked among the top ten part-time programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. Georgia State has an extensive evening program and has strong ties with the Atlanta business community, many of whom are alumni of the College. The Robinson College has approximately 1,500 masters students and 100 doctoral students. Georgia State University is located in the heart of Atlanta.
The University operates on a semester calendar. Salary is competitive. The position is contingent upon final budget approval by the University.
