    The Maastricht Centre for Entrepreneurship at Maastricht University
    has a position opening for a: Case Writer in Entrepreneurship (Post-Doc)

    The position
    Maastricht University seeks candidates for a new position as Case
    Writer. A successful candidate must have a PhD in a relevant
    discipline (Business Administration, Sociology or Psychology) and
    demonstrate a passionate drive to develop outstanding teaching cases
    that can be used in BSc, MSc, and MBA courses on high-impact
    Entrepreneurship. The position allows the case writer to also engage
    in scholarly research, preferably in line with one’s PhD research.
    Hence, those with experience in qualitative research are encouraged to
    apply. It is not required that candidates have already researched
    entrepreneurship. Also those that studied issues that relate to
    leadership, organisational behaviour, strategy, innovation,
    collaboration or internationalisation are encouraged to apply. To be
    considered for this position, the candidate should have published co-
    authored papers in leading journals. Additional funding for data-
    collection, conference attendance, and research-assistants is
    available on a competitive basis. The successful candidate will be
    hired as a Post-Doctoral Case writer on a 13-month contract, which may
    be converted into a tenure-track assistant Professorship in
    Entrepreneurship (depending on performance and funding). We are also
    open to applicants who would prefer to accept this position on a part-
    time basis.

    Maastricht Centre for Entrepreneurship
    Triggered by an endowment from local entrepreneurs for a professorial
    chair in Entrepreneurship Maastricht University decided in 2007 to
    start its Centre for Entrepreneurship with the aim to provide
    entrepreneurship education to all its BSc, MSc, MBA and PhD students.
    At present 3,5 FTE faculty lead ambitious initiatives for course
    development and incubation. Our ambition is to grow with 2,5 FTE in
    the next two years, by expanding the number of faculty, we will also
    strengthen our scholarly cloud, as we will predominantly hire for
    tenure track positions. In addition we plan to bring several
    Entrepreneurs in Residence en Venture Capitalists in Residence onboard
    of our Centre.

    The university
    Maastricht University is a young and compact research university in
    the south of the Netherlands. The University has six faculties;
    Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences, Maastricht University
    School of Business & Economics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Arts and
    Social Sciences, Faculty of Psychology and Neurosciences, Faculty of
    Humanities and Sciences and a University College. The university is
    consistently ranked as an excellent educator and a productive research
    community. Eminent management scholars such as Geert Hofstede, Luc
    Soete and John Hagedoorn have helped to put the School of Business &
    Economics on the global scholarly map. Its MSc IB programme is
    consistently ranked as an outstanding programme by the Financial Times.

    The city
    Maastricht (population approximately 118.000 inhabitants) is situated
    in the southernmost tip of the Netherlands, on the border with Belgium
    and Germany. Liège and Aachen are located nearby Maastricht (about 25
    km), and Brussels and Düsseldorf can be reached within an hour by car.
    Maastricht is easily accessible by road and train from Amsterdam,
    Brussels or Paris. Maastricht is the oldest and one of the most
    attractive cities in the Netherlands (founded 50 b.C.) with an
    extremely well preserved historic city centre. The river Meuse (Maas)
    flows through the city and is spanned by the Servaasbrug, the oldest
    bridge in the Netherlands. Maastricht has also beautiful surroundings:
    a hill country with magnificent chateaus, wineries, and bronze-oak
    woods.
