How do your institution(s) handle computer security on faculty owned laptops?

We are having an interesting discussion at our university regarding computer security.  The university has a security software on all university computers, and all students are able to download and install the security on their personal computers (accounted for as being paid for through the student fees).   We have  no provisions for security on faculty owned laptops (which are frequently connected to the system, such as for classroom presentations.)

I was asked to do some research to see how other institutions are addressing this issue, and thought that this forum may allow for (albeit less than scientifically valid) some feedback.

To avoid overloading everyone's email, may I ask that you reply directly to me if possible?

Does your institution provide any security provisions for faculty's personal computers?

    Thank you
    Emeric
