Gang- I am forwarding this announcement that I heard about at NCIIA (a very cool, informative conference). Please route your queries to Ben J (who is a good guy for an engineer... and a Dukie, LOL) He can also forward you the attachment I can't attach here.
This looks to be WELL worth a long look. All you need to start the process is a ONE page document. For those already using the "one page biz plan" or "I2P" models, this will be a breeze.

My name is Ben Johnston and I am with ASME. We met at the NCIIA conference last week and, as you may recall, we discussed the our first annual Innovation Showcase competition. I appreciated your efforts in sending folks our way at the conference, but I wanted to give you an electronic version of our info to make easier for you to spread the word to some of your colleagues - see links below.
PLEASE IGNORE THE DEADLINE. The new deadline is March 31st, and teams only need to submit a one page summary of the technology/product. If selected as one of the 10 finalists the teams, their coach (which they will be assigned) and their faculty sponsor, will get to go through NCIIA's Invention to Venture workshops where they will learn the business end of technology commercialization. They will also get to compete for cash prizes at the ASME International Congress in Seattle on November 9th. To apply, visit:

Also, please let your colleagues know that it they think they might have trouble meeting the March 31st deadline, but are still interested let me know and we can work it out very easily.
Regards,
Ben
