The Management Department of the School of Business Administration at The University of Mississippi invites applications for a faculty position in Management at our main campus in Oxford, Mississippi. This is a tenure track position with the School of Business Administration.
Duties: To teach undergraduate and MBA courses in small business management, entrepreneurship, and/or strategy, and to perform duties assigned by the Dean of the School of Business Administration and Chair of the Department of Management. The normal teaching load for this position for a research-active faculty member is 2/2 (6 credit hours per each semester, Fall and Spring) with the option to teach summer courses for additional pay subject to course and funding availability.
Required Qualifications: To be considered for this position, the applicant must have an earned doctorate degree (or hold ABD status with expected degree completion prior to August 2010) from an accredited or well regarded program in Management, preferably Business & Entrepreneurship or Strategic Management. Applicants should possess a proven track record of original research and publication in quality/recognized management journals, and must provide evidence of a strong commitment to scholarship, effective teaching, and service. No candidate will be considered who does not meet the departmental AACSB Academic Qualification (AQ) requirement (two peer reviewed journal articles since Spring 2005, ABD since Spring 2007, or newly conferred PhD since Spring 2005),
