The Haile/US College of Business invites applications from faculty who will take an active role in moving the Fifth Third Bank Entrepreneurship Institute (EI) to the next level.  This is an exciting time in the evolution of the Entrepreneurship Institute as our impact on students, community, and the field of entrepreneurship continues to grow.  Thanks to a gift from the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile/US Bank Foundation, we are creating the first Haile/US Bank Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship at Northern Kentucky University.   Applicants are encouraged to submit materials for all positions of interest.

The Fifth Third Bank Entrepreneurship Institute is in its tenth year and is currently the only school in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to offer a major in entrepreneurship that is growing every year. The Institute also offers a minor in entrepreneurship to students from across campus, a graduate specialization for MBA and MSIS students, and a post-baccalaureate certificate. The minor and certificate are offered in both traditional and fully on-line formats. This nationally recognized program connects students to the discipline of entrepreneurship not only through the classroom, but also by providing experiential learning experiences, such as internships, guest speakers, and the student designed Master Entrepreneur Awards Celebration. Student teams placed first in both Kentucky and Ohio state Business Plan Competitions in 2009.  The EI was named one of the 2006 "Top 25" Undergraduate programs for Entrepreneurship by Princeton Review and Entrepreneur Magazine and one of the 2007 Top 50 MBA Programs for Entrepreneurship by Women 3.0 Magazine.  The work of the EI was again recognized when they were awarded the 2007 National Consortium of Entrepreneurship Centers Excellence in Entrepreneurship Teaching and Pedagogical Innovation Award.  The EI Board members are very active in the success of the programs and as well as the local entrepreneurial community.   Learn more about the Institute and the programs at http://ei.nku.edu/
