    Dear Business Educators and Colleagues:

I hope you are having a brilliant summer so far. This message has two purposes.

If you are interested in being a judge for a "SAGE" youth entrepreneurship competition in Moscow, Russia on August 8-13, see this link for details. Send me an email at cdeberg@csuchico.edu if you want details. It takes about two weeks to obtain a travel visa, so one must act quickly.

Second, some of you may recall that I recently published a book about a student organization called "SIFE/Enactus."  This organization claims to be operating in about 40 countries now, as a way for university business students to practice service learning. In actuality, SIFE/Enactus has been called a "front-organization" for Walmart by renowned labor historian Dr. Nelson Lichtenstein, and indoctrinates students to Walmart's brand of "servant leadership." Beware. To learn more, go to http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/new-book-how-high-is-up-exposes-students-in-free-enterprise-as-farm-system-for-walmart-management-264229491.html.

    All my best,

    Curt

(Note: For 12 years, I was a Sam M. Walton SIFE Fellow at Chico State; after I left SIFE in 2005, I expanded SAGE to now include 23 countries. Please know that all people working for SAGE do so on a 100% volunteer basis. Our payroll is zero; I encourage you to compare this to the SIFE/Enactus payroll).
