Assistant Professor of Management
The School of Business Administration at the University of Montana – Missoula invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in Management. We will consider candidates with a Ph.D. in Management or closely related field from an AACSB-accredited program. Candidates expecting to receive this degree by August 2015 will also be considered.
In addition to the doctoral degree, candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching and scholarly research. Candidates must possess an interest and demonstrated ability in teaching and conducting research in the Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management areas. A secondary field of interest in Small Business Management and/or Entrepreneurship is highly desired. An active research agenda is required. Prior business experience is a plus.
Undergraduate teaching will be in the university's Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program. Graduate teaching will be in the full-time and part-time MBA programs.
Support for faculty members' intellectual activities is broad and may be in the form of competitive summer funding, teaching release time (to a limited degree), travel stipends for presentations at academic conferences, etc. Competitive research fellowships for tenured and tenure-track faculty members are available.
