Reviewers are the gatekeepers to our most important peer-reviewed journals. As such, reviewers influence the shape of management science, and all of us are expected to play this important role at some point in our careers. The Craft of Reviewing workshop is aimed at doctoral students and junior faculty who are just beginning as reviewers, and more experienced reviewers who want to hone their skills. The purpose is to provide participants with a forum for direct interaction between themselves and accomplished reviewers. While invited panelists begin the workshop by briefly discussing (about 10 minutes each) their views on the "craft," the primary focus of the session is audience participation. Thus, the majority of the workshop is devoted to audience questions, interaction, and open discussion. As such, we have an excellent and diverse mix of panelists with cross discipline and theoretical and methodological orientations. The AOM meeting in Chicago marks the 17th anniversary of the Craft of Reviewing workshop!
