The Department of Management in the College of Business at Florida State University is currently recruiting for one tenure-track position at the Assistant level in Strategic Management/Entrepreneurship effective August, 2010. An earned doctorate from an AACSB accredited institution is required. The ideal candidate would have a demonstrated record of quality research in entrepreneurship. A desire to teach and work with doctoral students is essential. Women and minorities are particularly encouraged to apply.
The Department of Management at Florida State University has 20 full-time tenure-track faculty members that fall into the general categories of Strategic Management/Entrepreneurship and Organizational Behavior/Human Resources Management, and Management Information Systems. The department houses an endowed Entrepreneurship Center, the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship and a Center for Human Resource Management. Florida State University is one of two flagship universities in the state of Florida. We offer 94 Baccalaureate, 107 Master, and 73 Doctorate degree programs. The Florida State University College of Business was founded in 1950. Although one of the youngest business schools in the nation, it is one of the ten largest in the U.S. with over 6,000 students. The College has 114 full-time faculty, including 38 named professorships and 11 endowed chair positions, and offers ten Baccalaureate, four Masters, and eight Doctoral degree programs. The College of Business's undergraduate programs were ranked 29th and 30th among public institutions in the Nation by U.S. News & World Report and BusinessWeek, respectively.
Florida State University is located in Tallahassee, Florida. Tallahassee is also home to the state capital and Florida A&M University.
