----Apologies for cross-postings Dear colleagues,
Greetings from Istanbul!
The 9th IEF (International Entrepreneurship Forum) with the theme "Technology and Entrepreneurship: New Ventures and the Creative Use of Technologies" will be held in Istanbul , Turkey from 16th to 18th September 2009 jointly with Essex University and Sabanci University Faculty of Management. The conference venue is the beautiful Conrad Hotel overlooking the Bosphorus (which recently hosted President Obama).
The conference aims to provide a platform for researchers, policy makers and practitioners in recognition of the increasing flow of ideas, resources and knowledge between businesses, institutions and public organizations. The particular role of technology in the generation of entrepreneurial opportunities for new venture creation, growth based on collaboration, networking and alliances, and possibilities of new organizational forms emerging from cross-border linkages are some of the themes we hope to explore. Several eminent speakers from across the globe have accepted invitations to the conference including Mr. Sergio Arzeni, Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and Local Development from OECD, Professor Claudia Bird Schoonhoven, University of California, Irvine, Mr. Bulent Celebi, Founder and CEO of Airties and Mr. Pier Carlo Padoan, OECD Deputy Secretary General. You can find more information about IEF and the conference at http://www.essex.ac.uk/conferences/ief.
We look forward to your participation at this exciting conference.
Sincerely,
Nakiye Boyacigiller
