The Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College of the City University of New York (CUNY) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Innovation & Creativity. Rank is at the Assistant level, and the start date is August, 2014. To be considered for an interview at the Academy of Management Meetings in Orlando, applicants should submit materials by August 1st. Following the AOM meetings, applications will continue to be accepted until the position is filled.
Job Requirements: Candidates should have a PhD in Management or a related field, or be nearing completion of the dissertation. Candidates should be prepared to teach undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. courses in Innovation & Creativity, as well as courses in their primary area (e.g., Strategy, Organizational Behavior, Entrepreneurship). Preference will be given to candidates who have applied business experience as well as research interests and publications in innovation and creativity. An interest in sustainability is a plus. Candidates should have a track record of teaching excellence as well as an interest in developing innovative curricula and online/hybrid courses. Applicants are expected to show significant potential for scholarship and a coherent research agenda that will lead to publications in top tier journals.
The Department of Management has 43 full-time faculty and 45 part-time members. It is comprised of four discipline areas: Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management, Operations Management, Strategic Management/Business & Society, and Entrepreneurship. We offer management concentrations at the bachelor's and master's levels in OB/HRM, OM, Sustainability, and Entrepreneurship, as well as a doctoral program in Management.
