Dear Colleagues,
We would like to remind you that the Mason Entrepreneurship Research Conference (MERC:
http://entrepreneurship.gmu.edu/conference.html) is being held next Friday, March 27th. We have a great set of papers as well as working papers for presentation on a variety of topics that deal with Entrepreneurship and innovation in general. Many are focused on the topic of sustainability and entrepreneurship, the theme of the conference for this year. In all we have 30 research papers being presented by academics all over the US and Mexico. In addition we have an opening remark by Alan Abramson of Aspen Institute who will talk to us about social entrepreneurship. The keynote speaker is Tim Berry, President and Founder of Palo Alto Software, Tim is also an academic and he is going to focus on entrepreneurship and sustainability. Finally, thanks to the support provided by the entrepreneur center at NVTC (Northern Virginia Technology Council) we have a panel of three entrepreneurs who also
teach the subject of entrepreneurship as adjunct professors and who will share their experiences in connection with the entrepreneurship from theory to practice. In all we have a great set of 30 research papers and three panels to create a great one-day event for the 5th Mason Entrepreneurship Research conference (MERC).
Those of you who are traveling to attend this event will be pleased to know that March 28th (the day after the conference) is the first official day of the world famous cherry blossom festival of Washington DC,
