Just had one of my best class discussions ever. My entrepreneurship marketing class analyzed the sales funnel and results of a test e-mail blast sent by other students of mine who are doing a crowdfunding campaign. So a real time, living case study.
I have reproduced relevant materials below, so
you can use them for a class discussion. You can copy anything you want. Also feel free to make a donation, if you are as touched by these students efforts as I am :). Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how to use this material in class.
Sincerely,
Mark Simon

Subject: OPEN-My Panama Project
Hi [Friend’s Name],
I hope everything is going well! I have been working on a really awesome project this semester, called Café de Kuna. It’s a student-led initiative desiring to help a community in rural Panama by increasing their coffee production. Today, we’re launching a crowdfunding campaign to ensure the Kuna community a sustainable future . Our goal is to raise $30,000 in 30 days!
Café de Kuna is completely driven by myself and a group of colleagues. Our goal is ambitious, but we are confident it will be reached; and in only 30 days.
Please take a look at the link below, it will direct you to our crowdfunding page (which includes an awesome video!). It would mean the world to me if you would consider donating, or simply spreading the word.
