I'm delighted to announce the appointment of new editors for the journal Competitiveness Review. 

Professor Philippe Gugler is Director of the Center for Competitiveness at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland.  He is currently Chairman of European Microeconomics of Competitiveness (MOC) Association, and has been affiliated with the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School since 2004.  Recently, he succeeded Peter Buckley as President of the European International Business Association (EIBA). 

Dr Christian H.M. Ketels is a member of the Harvard Business School faculty at Professor Michael E. Porter's Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness. He holds a PhD (Econ) from the London School of Economics and further degrees from the Kiel Institute for World Economics and Cologne University. He is President of TCI, a global network of professionals in the field of competitiveness, clusters, and innovation, Honorary Professor at the European Business School Oestrich-Winckel, and Senior Research Fellow at the Stockholm School of Economics. Dr Ketels has led cluster and competitiveness projects in many parts of the world, has written widely on economic policy issues, and is a frequent speaker on competitiveness and strategy in Europe, North America, and Asia.

Competitiveness Review aims to be the leading platform for academic research and conceptual policy dialogue on the competitiveness of locations.  The journal has a global focus, covering locations at all stages of economic development.  To that end, we welcome a new editorial board (listed below), and present a revised scope for the journal which can be found on our website: http://www.emeraldinsight.com/cr.htm
