Call For Applications: IM Division Doctoral Student Consortium 2014

The International Management Division will hold a Doctoral Student Consortium at the forthcoming Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Temple University.

This Doctoral Student Consortium is for doctoral students interested in International Management research, either as their primary or secondary field of study. We welcome participants at all stages of their dissertation—those who have already made substantial advances in their dissertation, as well as those who are in relatively early stages of writing their dissertation.

The Consortium will provide opportunities for structured discussion and informal interaction between doctoral students and faculty panelists on research, publishing, and career development. Concurrent sessions will be devoted to thesis development where participants will have the opportunity to present and discuss their dissertation research with faculty members. It is a great networking opportunity for doctoral students to meet some of the prominent scholars in the field of International Management, as well as connect with their peers in the field.

This IM Division Doctoral Student Consortium aims at providing feedback on students’ dissertation in progress and helping students situate their research within a particular stream of literature in their area of interest.

At the end of the consortium, there will be a “Meet the Editors” session from 4:00-5:30 p.m., to meet the editors of leading journals publishing international management research. This will be held jointly with the IM Division Junior Faculty Consortium.

Participating faculty panelists include prominent scholars in the field of International Management.
