    Assistant professor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation (tenure track)

    Faculty of Economics and Business – Amsterdam Business School

     

    The Entrepreneurship & Innovation section conducts research and offers education in two interrelated management challenges: creating new businesses and realizing innovations.

     

    The E&I section offers educational programs that include: MSc. Business Administration specialization in Entrepreneurship & Innovation, MSc. Business Administration specialization in Entrepreneurship & Management in the Creative Industries, MSc. in Entrepreneurship (in collaboration with VU University.

     

    The research of the E&I section focuses on themes such as entrepreneurship, investment and crowdfunding; entrepreneurship, careers and networks; innovation management, service innovation & growth; entrepreneurship & behavioral economics; entrepreneurship & innovation in creative industries.

     

    Faculty members publish in international peer-reviewed journals including Organization Science, Journal of Business Venturing Science, Journal of Management Studies, Research Policy, Journal of Service Management, Journal of Management, Journal of Labor Economics, Small Business Economics, and Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice.

     

    Job description

    Candidates are expected to contribute to research and teaching equally. Research is aimed at international top journals in the fields of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Teaching will be at the graduate (MSc), executive and undergraduate (BSc) level.

     

    Requirements

    Candidates should have a PhD in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation management, preferably with a background in Business Administration. They will be evaluated on their potential for and/or record of excellence in research and teaching.

    Appointment

    The assistant professor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation will be offered a tenure track position for six years. Upon meeting the criteria, a permanent contract will be offered. Salary is between €3,259 and €5,070 gross per month. A substantial reduction in income tax (equal to 30% of taxable salary) may apply to non-Dutch candidates. The starting date will be 1 December 2014 or such other date as may be mutually agreed.

Candidates who have not yet published in international journals should include two recent working papers. Applications should further include a cover letter, a CV, and the names of two references (or two reference letters). The closing date is 6 October 2014.
