This is just a quick reminder that the deadline for submitting nominations to the Kauffman Junior Faculty Fellowship in Entrepreneurship Research is approaching quickly. The deadline for submitting nominations is 12:00 noon Central Standard Time on Monday, March 9, 2009.
The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation is coordinating this competitive, annual program recognizes junior faculty who are beginning to establish a record of scholarship and exhibit the potential to make significant contributions to the body of research in the field of Entrepreneurship. The Kauffman Foundation will award up to five fellowships to junior faculty members from universities across the <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">United States</st1:place></st1:country-region>. Each Fellow's university will receive a grant of $50,000 over two years to support the research activities of the Fellow.
This program will help launch a cohort of world-class scholars into this young and exciting field, thus laying a foundation for future scientific advancement. The research produced by these fine scholars will be translated into knowledge with application for policy makers, educators, service providers, and entrepreneurs. This Fellowship is open to tenured or tenure track junior faculty members at accredited <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">U.S.</st1:place></st1:country-region> universities who received a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree between January 1, 2004 and December 31, 2007.
