POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE/FULL PROFESSOR IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP
STARTING DATE: August 2015
QUALIFICATIONS
The Management Department of the College of Business Administration at Kansas State University is seeking to hire preferably an associate or full professor, but will also actively consider applicants at the tenure-track assistant level. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in entrepreneurship or a closely-related field (e.g. Strategic Management). In addition, candidates are required to have proven records of excellence in research and teaching in entrepreneurship or a closely-related field (e.g. Strategic Management). Assistant professor applicants should demonstrate promise for reaching the level of attainment preferred for an associate/full professor appointment, which include a proven record of excellence in research and teaching in entrepreneurship, a demonstrated ability to improve entrepreneurship education and practice (e.g. working with the Center for the Advancement of Entrepreneurship), national and international recognition through peer-reviewed top scholarly publications, strong interpersonal and communication skills, collegiality and experience working with diverse populations (e.g. students, entrepreneurs). Candidates eligible for appointment at the full professor rank and who demonstrate exemplary accomplishments in entrepreneurship may be considered for the Jack Vanier Chair for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. This endowed chair is one of college's prestigious Faculty of Distinction chairs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidates are expected to take a leadership role in academic research, teaching and curriculum development in the area of entrepreneurship. Responsibilities will primarily include conducting and publishing academic research, teaching two courses per semester, assisting in the service mission of the Department/College, and providing leadership and support for the Center for the Advancement of Entrepreneurship.

Kansas State University is a state-supported institution of more than 23,000 students. The University is located in beautiful Manhattan, Kansas (population approximately 50,000) a community nestled in the Flint Hills of Northeast Kansas. The College of Business Administration, with 2800 undergraduate and graduate students and 60+ full-time faculty, consists of four academic departments: Accounting, Finance, Management, and Marketing. In addition to six undergraduate majors (Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Management, Management Information Systems, and Marketing), the Master of Business Administration degree program offers specialization in technology entrepreneurship designed to train future leaders of technology-based ventures. The College is accredited by AACSB International at the bachelor and master level in business administration and accounting.
