    Dear Entrepreneurship Friends (please excuse dual postings):

     

    Just a quick update...the SAGE World Cup in Moscow was marvelous.

     

    Fourteen countries competed, including SAGE Pakistan! Three more would have joined us if the had been able to obtain visas (India, Ghana, and Kenya). Also, two countries observed (Japan and Tajikistan).

     

    Results:

     

    SAGE World Cup 2014: SOCIAL ENTERPRISE BUSINESS (SEB) CATEGORY

    1st Position - Ireland
    2nd position - United States of America
    3rd Position - Nigeria
    4th Position - South Africa

    1st Position - China
    2nd position - Nigeria
    3rd Position - Canada
    4th Position - Russia

    1 .To eradicate extreme poverty and hunger - Philippines -SRB
    2. To achieve universal primary education - Ukraine -SRB
    3. To promote gender equality and empower women - Pakistan-SEB
    4. To reduce child mortality - Singapore -SEB
    5. To improve maternal health - Singapore -SEB
    6. To combat HIV and other diseases - Ukraine - SEB
    7. To ensure environmental sustainability - Russia -SEB
    8. To Develop a global partnership for development - Nigeria - SRB

    Next year, the second week of August, the SAGE World Cup will take place in Seoul, South Korea. Working with SAGE Korea and its main sponsor, KOTRA, we are quite sure that we will have delegates from at least 30 countries there. If you are interested in attending, to serve as a judge or an observer, send me an email and I will add you to or prospective judge/observer list.
