POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: PROFESSOR OF ENTREPRENEURIAL PRACTICE
The Department of Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises at Syracuse University's Whitman School of Management is seeking a distinguished entrepreneur, business executive, or venture capital expert to serve as an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurial Practice. We expect the selected individual to join the faculty for the 2014-15 academic year. This is a full-time position with a renewable contract. Primary duties will include teaching up to four entrepreneurship courses per semester in the Fall and Spring terms, mentoring student entrepreneurs, and participating as a contributing team member in the multiple facets of the entrepreneurship ecosystem across Syracuse University. This includes being active in programming through the Falcone Center of Entrepreneurship at the Whitman School of Management, among other responsibilities.
Entrepreneurship is a core priority of the Whitman School of Management and Syracuse University, as signified by an academic Department of Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises (EEE). The department offers degree programs in entrepreneurship at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. Its educational programs and research productivity are consistently ranked among the best in the United States. The program is one of the leading programs nationally and is celebrating its twentieth anniversary in 2014.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree is required and a graduate degree is preferred. Candidates should have a distinguished record of entrepreneurial achievements, strong teaching and presentation skills, an innovative mindset, a high energy level, enthusiasm for working with students, and a team-first attitude. Military experience is a benefit.
