Open Position: Assistant or Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Strategy - Tenure Track
The Bertolon School of Business at Salem State University in Salem, Massachusetts, is seeking to fill a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Entrepreneurship and Strategy beginning Fall, 2015. Required areas of expertise include Entrepreneurship, Small Business Management, and Business Strategy. Required duties include teaching Undergraduate and Graduate courses in Entrepreneurship, Small Business Management, Business Plan Development, Business Policy and Strategy, and Introduction to Business. Faculty members are also expected to advise students, serve on committees within the Business School and university-wide, and actively participate in applied research and other professional development and community-outreach activities.
Required qualifications include a Ph.D. or DBA (ABD considered), in Business or a closely-related field, previous undergraduate and/or graduate teaching experience in the discipline, and working knowledge of distance learning and instructional technologies.
Preferred qualifications include an MBA, experience as an entrepreneur or working with early-stage companies, and demonstrated ability to build academic programs and create partnerships with the local business community.
