The School of Business at the University of Kansas is searching for a full time, tenure track, open rank (Assistant, Associate or Full) Professor in Strategic Management beginning mid-August 2015.
We seek a candidate with research interests in strategy, including those at the intersection of strategy and a related sub-field (such as technology, entrepreneurship, psychology, sociology, or economics). You will join an engaged research community in strategy, which include Vince Barker (Area Chair), Clint Chadwick, Tailan Chi, Minyoung Kim, Laura Poppo (Search Committee Chair) and Jane Zhao, and are joined by faculty in HR/OB which include Ron Ash, Niki A. den Nieuwenboer, Jim Guthrie, Jay Lee, Douglas May, Kristie Rogers, Catherine Schwoerer.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A PhD or D.B.A in Strategy or a closely related field (must complete or have reasonable expectation of completing the degree by August 18, 2015).
2. Evidence of potential for engaging in high quality research and teaching strategy courses.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Experience teaching strategy courses.
2. Desire to engage in research with doctoral students in Strategy in the School of Business.
Evaluation of these requirements will be made through (1) letter of application describing experience and accomplishments; (2) record of productivity in teaching, research and service as noted in CV; (3) research statement and supplemental materials (e.g., publications); (4) teaching statement and supplemental materials (teaching portfolio, sample syllabi, teaching evaluations); (5) information provided by three professional references.
SALARY AND APPOINTMENT:
Appointment at a particular level will be based on an applicant's scholarly and teaching record. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
