The Department of Management in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University seeks qualified applicants for one or more Visiting or Clinical Professor positions (any rank, non tenure-track) for 2008-2009. All candidates must have a PhD in Management or a related field, a demonstrated interest in teaching in the field of management and have evidence of successful teaching activity, appropriate to rank. Teaching a broad range of undergraduate management classes is a plus, but experience teaching Entrepreneurship or large lecture format Principles of Management is particularly desired.
The Department of Management is well known nationally for its research and teaching excellence and the individuals chosen will join a vibrant professional atmosphere. The successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the department's mission in teaching and institutional commitment and to deliver instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The position is an ideal appointment for anyone who wishes to concentrate exclusively on teaching and related activities such as mentoring and curriculum development. There is also a possibility of tenure-track positions in the future that visiting candidates will be eligible to apply for.
The positions are available August 2008, with a one or two-year full-time appointments with no tenure implications. These positions may be renewed annually at the discretion of the Department, contingent upon availability of funds, satisfactory performance and the needs of the university. Salary is competitive and dependent upon qualifications, experience and rank.
