PHD PROGRAM IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
The Manning School of Business at the University of Massachusetts Lowell now is accepting applications for its PhD program in Business Administration. As one of the leading research-oriented business schools in the New England area, we're looking for applicants with strong academic background and an intellectual curiosity about the nature and workings of business organizations.
The program develops student expertise in conducting independent research and teaching in one of the following disciplines:
· Accounting
· Entrepreneurship
· Finance
· Leadership/Organization Studies
· Management Information Systems
Our main goal is to prepare students to join a research institution as a tenure-track faculty member after their graduation. In addition to rigorous and in-depth course work in research theory and methodology, we provide students with the opportunity to work with cutting-edge research faculty within their chosen field of study, as well as the flexibility to tailor students' own research program. Our PhD students are allowed access to the same research resources available to our faculty. In addition, students are exposed to innovative teaching techniques and have the opportunity to develop their teaching talents while in the program.
Accepted full-time students are eligible for PhD Research & Teaching Assistantships, which include full tuition and fee waivers and an annual stipend for up to four years.
