    Full-time Academic Position

    Associate Professor / Full Professor in Family Business

     

    Position


    To meet the ambitious objectives of its Family Business Center, EDHEC Business School is recruiting an Associate Professor or Full Professor in Family Business. The successful candidate is expected to provide both teaching and research leadership for the Family Business Center. She/he will be involved in developing and delivering teaching for both academic (Bachelors, MSc and MBA) and nonacademic programs. In this position, special emphasis will be placed on development and delivery of executive education, directed towards family and non-family executives. 

    EDHEC Business School has several faculty members active in publishing research related to the family business field.  The successful candidate would be encouraged to work together and/or foster further research initiatives with current faculty members active in such research.

    He/she is also expected to work closely with the director to further overall goals to seek funds for specific projects.  Such activity may include preparation of grants, as well as joint meetings with current and prospective donors to the Family Business Center.  


    Qualifications


    • Ph.D. in Management or Economics, or related fields at an accredited academic institution.
    • A distinguished record in research scholarship, especially in the field of family business.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver executive programs, ideally to include experience in delivery of family business programs.
    • Demonstrated ability to teach in academic programs at the Master's level (especially MBA programs).
    • Excellent communication skills. 
    • High level of fluency in English.
    • (Desirable but not compulsory) Previous consulting assignments with family businesses.
    • (Desirable but not compulsory) Knowledge of the French language.
