Washington and Lee University (www.wlu.edu), a highly-selective private university located in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, is unique among the top liberal arts colleges in having an AACSB-accredited business program. The Williams School of Commerce, Economics and Politics (williams.wlu.edu) was one of the first undergraduate programs to be accredited by the AACSB; it has been fully accredited since 1927. Business Administration is one of the most popular majors at W&L, with small classes (usually 16 to 22 students) taught by professors who are enthusiastic about teaching undergraduate students.

The Business Administration Department of the Williams School seeks to add a tenure-track member to the department with teaching and research credentials consistent with teaching an undergraduate capstone course in either strategic management or entrepreneurship. Secondary teaching areas are open but identified needs include international business or organizational behavior.
Successful candidates will have a doctorate as well as teaching and business experience. Rank and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience; candidates at the senior assistant level and above should possess a publication record commensurate with the rank sought. Interested candidates should submit questions or applications (cover letter, curriculum vitae, evidence of teaching effectiveness, and copies of research papers) to: Dennis Garvis, Head, Business Administration Department, 213 Huntley Hall, Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Virginia 24450; fax: 540-458-8639; e-mail: garvisd@wlu.edu. E-mail submissions are acceptable. W&L is an Equal Opportunity Employer, women and minority candidates are encouraged to apply. Screening of applications will begin March 10 and continue until the position is filled.
