Integrating Innovation and Entrepreneurship
The WUN China Steering Committee would cordially like to invite you to the WUN Hangzhou China Enterprise Conference, being held on 14-16 May, 2008.
This is the third in a series of WUN conferences focusing on enterprise, that have been held <st1:city w:st="on">Chicago</st1:city>, <st1:place w:st="on">Leeds</st1:place>, and Hangzhou 2007-2008. The ambition of this conference is to explore the collaboration and cooperation of international institutions in integrating global innovation resources to build new models and approaches to enterprise education. Conference themes include:
Global innovations and entrepreneurship:
- Opportunities for entrepreneurship expansion in <st1:country-region w:st="on">China</st1:country-region>
- Economic entrepreneurship in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Zhejiang</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">Province</st1:placetype></st1:place>: regional models and experiences
- Governmental policies and support for enterprise
- The transformative impact of entrepreneurship on the global economy
Social entrepreneurship:
- The application of organisations and non-profit enterprises as change agents for the resolution of social problems and economic growth
- Integration of social entrepreneurship into higher education
Innovation and internationalisation of enterprise education:
- Integration of research, learning & teaching and enterprise innovation across nations
- International exchanges and the training of new entrepreneurs
- Opportunities for interdisciplinary and institutional collaboration in entrepreneurship
The conference steering committee is drawn from several WUN Institutions including <st1:placename w:st="on">Zhejiang</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype>, <st1:placename w:st="on">Nanjing</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype>, <st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">Leeds</st1:placename>, <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on">University</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">Illinois</st1:placename></st1:place>, Urbana-Champaign.
